Sweating also known as perspiration or sometimes transpiration, is a production and evaporation of fluid from the skin of mammals. Sweat contains primarily water and smaller amounts of sodium chloride, 2-methylphenol and 4-methylphenol. The fluid is excreted by the sweat glands in skin. Sweating is one of the main processes that regulates temperature in body. The best way to show you why we are sweating is by picturing a runner in on a summer day. Due to high temperature and activity, runner’s body begins to sweat and the evaporating water on the skin of the runner begins to coll the runner while evaporating due to the latent heat of the water.

Underarm sweating or axilliary hyperdosis is one of the most common and troublesome forms of sweating because of its odor. It usually appears during sport activities or under stress, but it can also appear in usual conditions. Of course the odor is not the only consequence of the excessive underarm sweating. People with this condition also need to watch what they wear, because armpit sweating can leave a big noticeable stain on some fabrics.

This type of sweating can be significantly reduced with an operation, which has a high success rate but can have some side affects and is expensive for a normal budget. Surgery can also cause occasional skin loss in the underarm area.

Excessive underarm sweating can also be reduced with some relaxation techniques like yoga. These techniques do not directly affect on sweating but they help you to reduce stress which is one of the main causes for excessive sweating.
