First, allow me to discuss what allergies are and the symptoms. Then I will discuss the role of glyconutrients.
When a person’s body reacts to certain foods in such a way that the body employs an immune system response because it perceives the food as harmful. Symptoms can occur in the respiratory system, digestive system and other areas of the body. Some of the most common allergic responses include a tingling sensation in the mouth, difficulty breathing, vomiting, abdominal cramps and diarrhea, swelling of the tongue and throat and can progress to a drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness and even death. Symptoms can occur within minutes of exposure to the food, but it can be even as long as two hours before the symptoms appear.
Severe allergic reactions can result in anaphylaxis. This is the extreme of an allergic reaction which can be potentially fatal. It can involve any or all of the areas of the body including, skin, the respiratory system, digestive and gastrointestinal system and the cardiovascular system. In such cases, the use of epinephrine is necessary. Epinephrine is also known as adrenaline. It is available through prescription in forms that can be self administered, such as the EpiPen and the Twinject.
The best treatment for a food allergy is taking preventative measures to reduce or eradicate your exposure to the food. This means strictly avoiding the food that causes your allergy so that you can avoid having an allergic reaction. If you purchase processed foods, read the ingredients on the label. If the food does not have a label, the best thing that you can do is avoid that food altogether on the chance that it could cause a reaction. But this can really cut down on life’s enjoyment. So research is being done to see if there is a way around this.
There currently is no medical cure for food allergies. The best way to avoid a reaction is to avoid the foods to which you are allergic. Many people outgrow their food allergies so that could be good news. However, there are some allergies that are considered to be “lifelong” allergies. These would be peanuts, nuts, fish and shellfish. Research is currently being conducted and there may one day be a cure for food allergies, these in particular. This would mean that even people who are allergic to certain foods could still enjoy them.
Before you start avoiding foods that you only think may cause you to have allergic reactions, talk to a doctor and have allergy tests performed. If you begin to eliminate foods from your diet because you think they may cause allergic reactions you are likely to wind up with a diet that is not balanced or nutritionally sound. You could end up missing out on some important vitamins and minerals.
Glyconutrients
Many people have found that when taking glyconutrients, allergies diminish and in some cases are completely eradicated. Glyconutrients are a new class of nutrients that science has discovered. This new class has been shown to help the cells in the body to communicate better and to help improve the immune system. Many people are finding that their bodies are just not recognizing normal food as just ‘healthy food’. This can happen when the immune system is not functioning properly, or when the cells are not communicating properly, due to a low glycoprotein count on the cell signaling receptors. This is why many people choose to try advanced glyconutrients. Glyconutrients are food based and all natural, so they can’t be FDA approved as a cure, but many people are finding that they really do help. You can contact me through my site below, to talk about how the glyconutrients work in the body, or to try them out for yourself.
The eight essential glyconutrient monosaccharides are:
• Mannose
• Xylose
• Fucose (not fructose)
• Glucose
• Galactose
• N-acetylglucosamine
• N-acetylneuramic acid
• N-acetylgalactosamine
